Pursuing a degree in Sports Science at Northumbria University, Newcastle was a natural next step. I wanted to understand the 'why' behind everything I had experienced as an athlete.
Sport has been woven into the fabric of my life from day one. Growing up in an environment where physical activity and competition were valued, I developed a deep appreciation for movement, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence.
At just four years old, I put on my first pair of goalkeeper gloves—and I didn't take them off for the next 13 years. As a goalkeeper and team captain, I learnt the fundamentals of leadership, decision-making under pressure, and the importance of consistent training.
For 15 years, I dedicated myself to swimming—four of those years competing at county level. Swimming is unforgiving. It's you, the water, and the clock.
During my three years at Northumbria University, Newcastle, I stepped into the boxing ring. Boxing is raw, honest, and demands complete physical and mental commitment.
Coaching under-12s football teams was my first real taste of leadership and mentorship. Working with young athletes taught me patience, communication, and the importance of making training fun whilst still being effective.
At 15, I walked into a gym for the first time and discovered a new passion: strength training. Whilst I was already an athlete, the gym opened my eyes to the science of performance—progressive overload, hypertrophy, power development, and mobility.
Transitioning into personal training and performance coaching was the culmination of years of preparation. With a foundation built on personal athletic experience, hands-on coaching, and academic study, I entered the field ready to make a real impact.
I've spent my entire life in sport—not because it's easy, but because I believe in its power to transform. As your coach, I bring that same dedication to your training. I've walked the path, faced the challenges, and celebrated the victories. Now, I'm here to help you do the same.
Let's build something great together—backed by science, driven by results, and grounded in respect for the process.
